           OSAKA VS TOKYO





           投資大阪還是東京好?



            t is no secret that demand for real estate investment in
            Tokyo has continuously been strong, though limited
            supply and compressed cap rates have lead investors to
           Ishift to regional markets for alternatives, especially to
           “The Greater Osaka”.
              Osaka is emerging as one of the most attractive real
           estate investment regions in Asia aligned with Tokyo
           thanks to the city’s popularity as a tourist destination
           and investment demand spilled over from Tokyo. More
           international LCC flights to Kansai Airport are bringing
           more overseas tourists to the city.
              Locally, pulling factors such as the “UMEKITA”
           development project, a potential integrated resort (IR)
           project, the World Expo in 2025 and relatively higher yields
           versus Tokyo are drawing local and international investors
           into this region.
              While Tokyo continues to exhibit resilience , there is
           a continuous shift towards other major cities, especially
           Osaka. In this issue, we present different asset types
           in both the capital city of Japan and its second largest
           economy market after Tokyo. What is your preference?
